FRENCH PERSONAL TRAINER

NEW YORK CITY

TOM DEZ

MY STORY

I am a Certified Personal Trainer from a small town on the French Riviera, now living in New York City.

Growing up, I was very skinny, struggled with an eating disorder and low self-confidence. As a teenager, I started swimming, and later took up weightlifting in high school. Over time, I started to notice significant changes to my body and became genuinely interested in human anatomy and the sciences behind physical performance. I decided to pursue my passion by enrolling at the University of Sports Sciences and joining the university’s swimming team. During my time there, I had the opportunity to coach a swim team for three years, adding to my experience in sports training.

After four years studying anatomy, sports-related biomechanics, psychology, sociology, and advanced training methods, I returned to my hometown on the French Riviera to work as an Independent Personal Trainer. I built my business from the ground up, developed a strong and diverse clientele, and had the privilege of teaching children how to swim and helping adults improve their health and fitness—all in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

After gaining in-depth knowledge at university, years of personal growth in the gym, and valuable experience as an entrepreneur, I decided to take on a new challenge and bring my passion to the big leagues—New York City

MY METHODS

I’m a lifelong natural lifter, meaning I’ve never used performance-enhancing substances to build muscle or increase strength—and I strongly advocate for others to stay committed to the natural path as well.

My training approach is straightforward and effective. I emphasize progressive overload over time, meaning we steadily increase the challenge week by week to build strength and muscle safely and consistently. I also prioritize controlled movements and full range of motion to ensure you’re training with proper form and minimizing injury risk.

My program focuses on key compound exercises like deadlifts, bench press, pull-ups, and squats—these are the foundational movements that deliver the best results for overall strength and fitness.

When it comes to nutrition, I promote a flexible dieting approach. It’s not about strict rules or restrictions, but rather finding a balanced and sustainable way of eating that supports your goals and fits your lifestyle.

MY OFFERS

I start with a first session to get to know you—your goals, fitness level, and any specific needs you may have. This initial session helps me build a strong foundation and set up the right approach for you.

TRAINING PACKAGE

From there, I recommend committing to at least 10 sessions over the course of one month. This allows us to create real momentum and start seeing measurable progress. Each client receives a personalized workout plan, tailored specifically to their goals, abilities, and lifestyle. I also provide nutrition guidance to support your training and help you make sustainable changes.

Between sessions, I stay accessible and available for any questions or extra support you might need. Whether you’re unsure about a workout, need help staying on track, or want advice on nutrition, I’m here to guide you. This ongoing communication allows me to track your progress closely and make adjustments when needed—so you stay on the right path.
